Richard Fedden

Regional VP Marketing & Container Sales

Richard entered the container industry in 1998 after serving 7 years in the British Army. He began his career working in the technical department at Cronos Containers looking after Maintenance & Repair (M&R) for Europe and Australia / New Zealand. He was promoted to Technical Operations Manager in 2003 and then Technical Operations Director in 2006 where he was responsible for global Dry Van, Specials and ISO tank M&R.

Richard transferred to the commercial department in 2007, firstly looking after accounts in the United Kingdom & Ireland and then taking over additional commercial accounts in Southern Africa. During the acquisition of Cronos by Seaco, he has retained these roles, as well as working on several internal projects.

Richard enjoys nothing more than spending time with his wife and two children. He is an avid Chelsea FC fan and enjoys taking part in a variety of sports including football and skiing. He also likes to relax reading a good book.

Evette Murray

Evette joined Seaco in October 2015 as Marketing Director, responsible for all leasing business in the Oceania region. Evette brings a wealth of industry experience to Seaco and its customers spanning over twenty years. Prior to her current role, Evette worked for Textainer Equipment Management for eighteen years in a variety of roles, most recently as Area Manager for Australia and New Zealand. Following her time at Textainer and prior to joining Seaco, Evette owned and successfully operated a container sales company for two years. This extensive experience has given her an in depth knowledge of the container leasing business in the Oceania region.

Evette’s career started with the National Australia Bank where she experienced the rigors of international banking before joining Consolidated Meat Group as Shipping Manager, both roles adding to and shaping her commercial, customer focused ‘can-do’ style.

Evette also holds a Bachelor of Business in Marketing and Accounting from Southern Cross University and a Certificate in Financial Markets from Securities Institute of Australia.

Evette is married with two children and enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, trying different cuisines and reading a good book.

Ben Lowry

Based in the Brisbane office, Ben joined Seaco in 2016, as Marketing Manager for East Coast of Australia, responsible for leasing container equipment to a wide range of industries.

Ben commenced his career within the container industry in 2006 and was involved in the product development and modification of containers associated with mining camps, accommodation modules, Blast Room buildings, pop up cafes/restaurants and a variety of container bespoke designs. This included the leasing of container equipment to tier one customers globally associated within the mining, defence, government, logistics, construction and oil/gas industries.

During his career to date, Ben has gained extensive experience in marketing, business development and customer account management and handling, driven by the desire to assess the customer’s requirements and deliver cost-effective solutions.

Outside of work, interests include Basketball, Rugby, family time, restoring antique furniture and currently exploring countries within Asia.

Based in Brisbane, Steven joined Seaco in July 2019, having previously worked as a Business Development Manager for Cavalier Containers for 6 years.

Prior to this, Steven spent 8 years at Austral Asia Line (“AAL”), working in their Logistics functions. His main responsibilities at AAL included monitoring and forecasting international and domestic container movements, and regular communication with the Company’s appointed agents in China, SE Asia, Papua New Guinea and South Pacific.

Abbey Steadman

Abbey became Regional Director of Operations and Customer Service Oceania in 2015. She is responsible for all operational and customer service related matters within the region and based in Sydney.

Abbey has over fifteen years’ experience working for global container lessors, coming to the company when Seaco acquired Cronos Containers Pty Ltd. Abbey started her career with Cronos in 2001 as Operations Co-ordinator which led to her promotion in 2009 to Marketing Manager. During her time with Cronos, Abbey worked in the London and Sydney offices. She has an extensive knowledge of the leasing market, operations and industry requirements within Oceania.

Abbey is a mother of two and enjoys spending time with her young family and friends. She is an avid fan of sport and of Australia’s beautiful beaches.

Ed Topia

Ed joined Seaco in Feb 2016 as the Depot Operations Manager for the region, based in Brisbane.

Ed offers technical support for all Seaco equipment which includes General Purpose Containers, Reefers, Specials and Tanks.

Ed spent his early career in General Purpose containers and moved over to the tank industry where he spent the next ten years. Ed then spent the next three years back in the container industry where he helped combined container and tank depots to repair store and manage all equipment including specialised equipment for the mining sector.

In his spare time Ed enjoys playing and watching all kinds of sports.

Paul Smart

Paul has an extensive background as a Reefer/Refrigeration technician, beginning his career in the shipping container industry with D.C.D. (Hapag Lloyd) in the UK as an apprentice Reefer Technician in 1988. Continuing as a Reefer Technician until moving into the commercial refrigeration industry in 2003.

In 2006 Paul, along with his young family, moved from the UK to Australia where he returned to the container industry in the role of M&R/Operations Manager for Triton International (Australia/New Zealand), until 2013.

After several years in the Australian commercial refrigeration industry as National Technical Manager, Paul returned to container leasing, joining Seaco Global in Sydney as Depot Operations Manager in 2021.

Paul enjoys riding his motorcycle, watching cricket and spending time with family and friends.

Senior Customer Service Operations Executive

Deanna joined Seaco in September 2015 as an Operations and Customer Service Executive for Oceania.

Deanna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from University of New South Wales and is currently studying a Master’s in Business Administration.

Prior to working at Seaco, Deanna began her career in the shipping industry in 2014 at Cronos Containers Pty Ltd as a Marketing Co-ordinator. Deanna has extensive experience in dealing with customers across all levels.

In her spare time, Deanna enjoys spending time being social with family or friends, and loves travelling.

Shannon joined Seaco as Operations and Customer Services Executive in 2015, (as a result of the Cronos /Seaco integration), taking on the responsibility for the positioning of equipment in and out of the Oceania region.

Shannon was previously employed with Cronos in early 2014 after she had completed her degree in Marketing and Advertising.

In her spare time, Shannon enjoys spending time with her friends, catching up over a glass of wine or cup of coffee.

Based in Sydney, Yasmin joined Seaco in November 2020 as Customer Service Operations Executive.

Yasmin spent 4 years in the freight forwarding industry previously working at DB Schenker as an Air Import Operations Clerk and has achieved her certificate III in Freight Forwarding and Logistics. In the near future Yasmin is hoping to gain her Bachelor’s degree in Business as well as Business property.

In her spare time, Yasmin enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Lyn joined Seaco in August 2016 as Container Sales Customer Service Executive in the Brisbane office.

Although Lyn is new to the industry, her working career has always been in office and business administration, including sales and logistical support, and has focused on building strong customer relationships.

Lyn’s interests include enjoying the great outdoors, spending time with family, and more recently learning photography.

Lynda Kirk

Lynda joined Seaco in 2023 as Finance and Administration Manager for Oceania.

Lynda holds a Diploma of Accounting and is a member of the Institute of Public Accountants.

Prior to working at Seaco she worked for a Chartered Accountants firm in the business services division, and held finance roles in global Media, Technology and Franchise companies.
