HIGH STRENGTH – VERSATILE CONTAINER
The 20ft High Cube palletwide (BK2)* bulkers provide a higher cubic capacity of (37.2m3), than a 20ft standard ISO container.
The internal width and length dimensions of these bulkers are designed to be 4 inches wider to accommodate pallets side by side and to the same external dimensions of a standard ISO container. This equipment can be handled in exactly the same way as a standard fully intermodal dry freight container.
More cubic capacity enables for more cargo being loaded onto pallets in the container side by side. The Bulker features a number of loading and unloading options including overhead roof hatches, bleed hatches for sampling and a large front hatch for complete discharge of contents.
*BK2 is a certified IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) code that means these are licensed for the carriage of solid hazardous cargo in line with IMDG. Suitable for the mining and explosive industries. The units differ from standard ISO in two main areas:
- End wall strength is greater, with test load of 0.6 of payload, compared to 0.4 for a standard ISO container
- Loose bulk must be contained without leakage

- Standard ISO handling: Bulker can be handled in exactly the same way as a standard ISO container. No special lifting equipment required.
- Fully intermodal capability: The bulker can be transported by road, rail or by sea, without the need for handling freight in between modes of transport.
