SAFE AND EFFICIENT LIQUID TRANSPORT
Seaco can provide a range of 26kl Baffle Tanks fitted with vertical or horizontal baffles in a welded or bolted configuration to help prevent liquid surge when loaded at up to 80% capacity and less than 95% to allow for thermal expansion.
Baffles help improve safety in the anti-slosh performance in tank containers that can be caused by sudden driving conditions such as braking and cornering.
Baffles can also provide the flexibility to ship liquids with a variety of densities within the same tank, thus removing the need to use different capacity Tanks. The authorised Dangerous Goods Advisor should confirm fitness for purpose of any tank and that the cargo is compatible and will not attack the tank vessel. Tank containers are supplied in accordance with a signed lease and Seaco General Trading Terms.
Overview
- Lower Tare Weight: Tank designed with a lower tare weight to optimize a higher payload.
- 3 Cleaning Hatches: To aid ease and thorough cleaning of the tank.
- Walkway: Fitted with a “B” type marine grade aluminium walkway with the option to fit hand rails, to aid safe access around the top of the tank.
- Top Discharge Flange: To facilitate the pressurization of the tank to allow discharge through a pipe from the top of the tank to the bottom inside of the tank.
- Heating: 8 runs providing 10-10.5 sqm of effective heating area suitable for high viscosity and solidifying cargoes during transit.
- Pressure Relief: Fitted with a pressure relief valve to help protect the tank from accidental over-pressure and implosion from unwanted vacuum conditions.
- Bottom Discharge: A 45° univalve bottom discharge assembly is fitted to the drain point of the tank. It is also used for loading and discharging cargo in combination with a second valve.
- Anti-slip Surface Ladder: 304 stainless steel ladder is fitted to the right of the rear of the tank container for the easy and safe access to the top walkway.
